In October we went to Joe's Brother's house down in San Diego to visit and see the Miramar Air Show. It was a lot of fun. His brother is usually very busy with being in the surgery program down there but he had some time off and we took advantage of it. We got to spend time at the beach and also at the airshow.
This is a picture of me and the kids with cousin Clare. Obviously something loud was happening down that way to the left when the picture was taken. At least Andy was wearing his ear plugs.

You can't tell but Joe and his brother Dave are about to be beat to a pulp by these waves that towered over them. I guess there was some storm off the coast that made the waves really big and close to shore. Not the best situation for learning to surf.
Emiley and Andy were plenty satisfied on this cold evening to just sit on the shore and play with their cousins in the sand.
Andy didn't like walking on the cold sand so he sort of did this bear crawl all over til he got tired of doing that and just crawled. Poor kid he was all wet and cold by the time his dad would finally let us all leave.
We did have a lot of fun. It is really nice only being a few hours away that we can just pick up and go down for a weekend.
